Performance Friction Pads new PF11's and usage info on the 97's
#14
I am using PFC 97 pads front and rear and do not have any ABS problems, but I have no ABS system. My car is a race only car and has no need for ABS. I have not tried other pads, but at this point the PFC 97s are working great. I have used PFC 01 pads on my TR3 SCCA car for years and they have been great, but PFC does not make 01 pads for the S2000.

I've used Hawk DTC-70s on the front of our Civic. They're very progressive and stand up to heat very well. The bias is really wonky on those cars, though. We wind up running DTC-70 front, HT-10 rear.

After further thought and some looking into the car this evening I think it may have been an issue with the new sphericals being too tight.
I installed the rear lower control arm sphericals and bsk which consists of 5 tight sphericals.
With the dampers all the way soft I used to be able to easily push the back of the car up and down, now it takes quite a bit of effort to compress the suspension and the way it returns is wonky as well.
With the rear unloaded and less spring rate to overcome the stiction of the bearings I think the rear tires were just floating floating over bumps and loosing traction.
I'm going to loosen them up a bit and hopefully I'll be back in business again, this last track day sucked as far as times go was only able to pull off a high 2:07, I should have been in the 2:03-4 range this time.
I'm also going to see what force is needed before they breakaway just for my curiosity
I hate changing multiple things, especially when things go backwards.

I am running PFC97 fronts with XP8 rears now. I have no problems! They are by far the best pads I have tried, thks to 06Estukey!
Drawback is they crack OEM rotors pretty easily. I can even get them to glow bright red! />

I've been looking for PFC01 pads for the stock front calipers. Couldn't find them ANYWHERE! I've used them with a FD BBK before and they were so yummy. I've resorted to trying out Dixcel which costs an arm and a leg. I'll be taking these pads out to the track for the first time this weekend. If you guys get a group buy going on for PFC01's you can count me in for a set or 2.
