Default Possible best Hardtop for competition

I searched S2ki a bit.

Only I could find is the OEM Hardtop is approx 44 lbs and they say that mugen CF is also 44 lbs and Mugen FRP is 32 lbs

How come that the FRP is lighte rthan the CF.

what other options do I have .

I need the lightest Hartop available forthe S2000.

what about aerodynamics?! Mugen or Mooncraft should have the best aero?!

Lots of questions...maybe someone knows already!

Thanks for any help!

Yves

Triax where did you get those numbers?

I call

The FRP weighs the same as oem w/ the "interior" removed. and the CF is liks 5-8 lbs lighter.

Only 5-8 lbs sounds strange though cause if thats the case the best way to go would be geting an OEM and replacing the rear window with plastic glass (like Macrolon)

That wouldmake it less heavy than the Mugen CF then!

Trust me I have the CF it doesn't weigh anything near the OEM. I can easily manuver and install the CF one by myself where as I could never do it with the OEM, that I had before. I am guessing a 10 to 15lb difference between the two. I'll get it on a scale and see.

Mugen cf is of dry construction, but I have no info comparing it weight wise with the Amuse.

also at FC, i helped put on a Mugen FRP top, even with a custom interior liner, that thing weighed much less than an OEM top.
