Default Post-Event Spark Plug Check

Guys,

I am FI'd (10psi CTSC) and have noticed something interesting. I recently checked my plugs after a couple events and noticed that my fuel mixture is not perfectly even across the board. It appears and that cylinder 1 runs richer than 2 which runs richer than 3, etc...

I would say my 4th cylinder appears to be closer to a perfect burn while 1 appears to be rather rich. No sign of detonation or anything like that (no white residue & the plug electrode was intact with the little "V"). I just thought this was interesting.

I was trying to figure out a reason for this. Miller is a high speed course...is it possible that the intake manifold is not distributing air evenly over the 4 cylinders and because of that I am seeing the darker to lighter plug residue? I was thinking that, because Miller is high speed, my engine was gulping in lots of cool (these 2 events were particularly cold) dry air and this may have exaggerated the effect on the plugs because this is the first time I've noticed this.

I don't think this is a particular concern from a reliability stand point so long as I insure that I'm running enough fuel to that 4th cylinder. But, I did think it was of interest.

Has anyone else noticed this in a stock or otherwise setup? I would think this might be more noticeable in FI'd applications (particularly during cold weather events).

Best,

Jorge
