Thumbs up Preload Procedure for KW Variant 3?

Hi, guys

Can someone please explain to me what is the proper procedure to "preload" the KW variant 3 coilover?

From using the search funciton, I have come to the following steps:

1) Screw in the bolt into the clevis of the coilover, but do not torque it yet.
2) Put the jack stand at the jack point and use the jack to raise up the control arm to "preload" the suspension or raise it up from the rotor?
3) Adjust the ride height by lowering the spring collar. KW suggests the front axle setting is 20-60 mm and the rear axle is 40 mm. What is the recommended "preload " setting for the street?
4) Torque the bolt according to the OEM spec

Any suggestions to make this "preload" procedure properly?

Thanks in advance.

Have you looked at this write up?

When I installed mine I had the car up on jackstands on all for corners and then placed the jack under the damper and the compressed the damper until the car just lifted of the jack stand. I then lowered slightly and torgued the bolt. I repeated this process on the other three dampers.

Hope this helps.

If I recall, when I installed mine and loaded the suspension, the A-Arm was almost level with the ground and car was just @ 1/4" off off the jackstand.
