Nope. But as I understand it if you make a 1" wider you do the following.

Stock rear offset is +64mm right?

stock offset = +64 mm
1" = 25.4mm

64-(25.4/2)
64-12.7
so you would want a +51.3 (51-52)

baiscly just subtract 12.7 from the previous offset and that will put a .5" of extra wheel on each side of the stock wheel.

Atleast that is how I understand it. Can anyone confirm? Also I am not 100% positive on the stock offsets.

What about a road race version that is slightly wider? (.5-1" would be great)
Correct me If i'm wrong but I think Volk already makes them to those spec's.

every volk I have seen has not been quite the right offset.

There have been some special ordered ones that have good offsets.

ry,

u need to add 12.7mm to stock positive offset to maintain wheel center with 1 inch wider.

Stock front: 16x6.5 +55mm
Stock rear: 16x7.5 +65mm

[EDIT]To maintain the wheel centerline, keep the offset THE SAME.[EDIT]

For road racing, though, might it be worth considering adding less offset than stock (i.e. increasing the track)?

There may be another reason to consider doing that... The A-Arms etc that tuck into the wheel dont have alot of clearance even with the stock wheel. By bringing the inside rim edge closer to those components you could run into interferance issues. 17" and 18" wheels get away with it because the rim edge also moves away from the axle by 1/2" & 1" respectively. However, I am not sure if 1" of additional width on 16" rims with offsets that maintain the same centerline will cause rubbing of suspension components... RT any thoughts??

I'm not sure the Specs On brians wheels (volks) But I know they are just a bit wider. Either half an inch or a full inch front and rear and the offset seems pretty nice. They look a hair wider but are still 100% within the wheel well. It could be the offset is a bit off, I always figured it was because they are wider then stock.

If you increase the size of the wheel by one inch with the same offset you would have 1/2 inch more wheel on each side than stock.
D'OH!! Greg you are of course correct!! I dunno what I was thinking!
The trick is to find out where you have the extra room for wider wheels, to the outside or to the inside.
Agreed. There's definitely some room to the outside, as Spoon's wheels are 1/2 in wider and have less offset (+45), but won't rub unless the suspension's lowered. (Even then one could try to dial in lots of camber.)
