Default Question about sway bars when going square set up

I put an AP2 sway bar to help with the oversteer and it's great with the 16's and RS3. My tires have little life left in them and will be upgrading the rims. Thinking about going to a square set up because all the big dogs run in that way and eventually I plan to mod more, but I am worried about the oversteer. What's the best way to improve on it? My camber is 1.8 neg in front and 2.1 neg in rear.

The car would be mainly for track.

The car has stock suspension...only Ap2 rear sway bar.

Get a bigger front swaybar or keep your front camber lower than your rear, like it is now.

What do you recommend for a bigger front sway bar?

I went square and have done everything to tame down the rear ever since. I mainly autox so my case might be a little more extreme than yours. Starting point 01, stock bars, 255x4.

What I did to increase understeer/balance her out:

2k higher spring rate upfront-helped a little, needed more.
Moddiction front bar on middle setting-helped a ton, still needed a little more.
nc mx5 front bar on the rear-helped, now she's perfect.

Depending on your budget just get a big front bar and a smaller(mx5) bar for the rear.

I'd recommend the moddiction bar or if you can spend a little more go with the karcepts. Karcepts has a lot of options and a lot of adjust-ability.

goodluck.

Just a thought...what about going square and disconnecting the rear sway bar? Would the car feel out of control that way?

Disconnecting the rear will help balance it out, but maybe not as much as you'd like. As your driving skill and mods increase, you'll eventually need to move to a bigger front bar.

what's the benefit of a bigger front bar? I had a bigger rear bar stock and went to smaller one(ap2) to reduce oversteer. So does a bigger one reduce traction in the front?

As a compromise to completely disconnecting the rear sway bar, you can replace it with the front sway bar of an MX5. They are very weak, but offer some roll support. I don't know all the details of which MX5 MY works. I got mine from another S2000 owner that was returning his car to stock for sell. There are threads with details in the suspension forum.

It's always personal preference, but I'm very happy with how mine handles.
