Default Race S2K starter car?

Not a salvage, but fairly cheap especially if you haggle him down

I don't see what's so special about it. You can find plenty of S2k's for $15k. To make it track ready, you are going to have to drop some change. I would rather buy a sorted track car, kinda like Scot's S2k(salvage title, CF hood, coilovers, gutted, caged and Big spoiler) for $16k. Too bad I was a bit slow to jump on it.

i may have picked up a white S2000 on ebay with no engine or tranny for about $8k delivered....... has headlights, airbags, etc.... but a salvage title...just needs an engine, tranny and driver.

Hoping to get it on the road (or track) for another $3500 or so (engine / tranny and install)... then I can sell the airbags, carpet, door panels, etc....... once it becomes a track only car.

Not saying this is the best deal in the whole wide world, but still you can sell about $3k worth of stuff in it pretty quickly and you're at $11500 with an engine and tranny. Same price, tho your engine would be newer. But I don't think thats a huge deal if it hasn't been too abused.
