R-Motion S2000 Race/Track Car Build
Thought Id start a build thread for our race/track car build. We've raced and tracked a K20 EK Sir and then a K20 EG Civic since 2008. Although we havent raced since 2012 we've been doing a few track days and enjoying the more relaxed and cost effective nature of track days compared to racing! (didn't help that I was running a race series at the same time as racing)
Anyway, essentially need a new driving challenge, whether to track or eventually race. So RWD was the way to go so now we're building an S2k race car.
Purchased this car off ebay but a forum member I believe.
Had been an occasional track car with a few very nice bits on it. Far too shiney for a race car so these have/are being sold
Well, it hasnt taken us long to get stuck in.
First stage is to strip it and get a full multipoint FIA cage installed. We will remove all the brake and fuel lines and replace with custom. Run a Balance/bias bar brake setup.
Having been a massive fan of the K engines for a long time, we are going to K swap it. Starting with the engine from our race car, just a mildly tuned JDM K20A engine on ITBs. And then look to build a K24 later on.
Anyway thats it for now. Will try and keep updates coming.

Quite surprised to be honest. While it wasn't to my taste he must of spent a fair amount on that car and his thread doesn't have any mention of it going up for sale. Wonder why he sold it?

Was this Toms car with the bendy bar 'roll cage' cusco cage or something?
Looks like a nice little project though. Selling the engine and interior should get you quite a bit back too.
What power output is your K20 at with ITBs?
And me possibly being VERY retarded here.... Doesn't the f20c spin the opposite way to a K20?
