Good job then! The RS-PT/PT2 is just a really THICK seat. It sounds odd, but it's true. The sides of the halo are about 2.5 inches thick, so that adds 5 inches to the width of the Halo, and the seat in general is a fair bit wider than a lot of the other ones I looked at. I didn't even think about it when I bought it. Unfortunately any other similar seats seemed to be in the $1000 price range
okay, so I looked at the specs for both the OMP RS-PT2 and Sparco Pro ADV and the max with of RS-PT2 is 540mm and the halo is even narrower than that just by looking at the drawings, and the Sparco is 540mm at the halo and 630mm at the shoulders Also, the width of the butt area is 375mm for RS-PT2 and 330mm for Pro ADV (I wonder if OMP specs are just for the shell with not cushions). Also, RS-PT2 in 50mm shorter than the Pro ADV. Taking all this into account, I'm confused how the RS-PT2 does not fit in the car I wonder if it's just the way your cage is built?

It might fit with the side mounts bolted straight to the floor, but I was using a Wedge seat bracket to mount the seat to. I had the seat as low as it would go and the Halo wouldn't clear the window arch of the hardtop, the side of the seat (leg low leg area) would also hit the tranny tunnel (but this was with the seat REALLY far forward, so that could be a non-issue with the seat mounted to the floor).

My Bimarco Grip has been great so far. It took about 6 weeks to get mine though so hopefully yours comes a lot sooner.

screwed up quoting whoops.

the hte-r XL fits me perfectly, but someone just said the RS-pt2 seat doesnt fit in the s (its basically the same as the hte-r as far as i know). they actually make a seat called the hte-r 400 that is designed for cars with very small seating area, padding and such is thinner but they of course dont make that in an XL.

Been looking at seats for my car...OEM's just aren't cutting it anymore.

Anybody use the Corbeau seats? The Forza Sport is FIA approved now, as well as a couple others. I'm just fighting a battle of finding a seat big enough for me, but that will still fit in the S2000 with full interior.

Corbeau Forza Sport

Also, it looks like they have their own mounting rails for it, but I have to imagine they don't allow the seat to sit as low as it needs to.

Does anybody know if the OMP HTE-R XL will fit on the passenger side with completely stripped interior?

I'm seriously contemplating trying out the FIA-approved Corbeau Forza. I'm a 36-38" waist, and they advertise that it fits "up to a 38" waist". I'm just not sure about mounting. I think I might pick up a Buddy Club rail and see how that works. I need to sit as low as possible since I'm a tall, fat American.

I just put in a planted driver mount. Its beefy as hell and the seat feels rock solid now.

Planted fixed mount? I assume you are talking about this, with some side mounts... http://www.racing-seats-usa.com/plan...-brackets.html

I really do prefer a good solid mount over the crap BC slider, but I thought those got the seat pretty high by the time you get the side mounts on it. I really need to seat to sit as much "on the floor" as possible. Do those really allow the seat to get lower than OEM?
