Default Race Seats?

I am building a Locost and want to make sure I have enough room for race seats.

It seems I've read about a lot of issues putting seats in an S. Where is the issue exactly? Is it at the base of the seat or higher up?

I just want to be sure I allot enough room to clear a common size seat.

Our Sparco Evo just fits in an S2000 with interior. Some people trim the shoulder "wings" to prevent it from rubbing on the door panel, but I like the extra bracing of the seat and don't mind the door imprints.

So it's higher up that's a tight fit. Great, there's not much up high in a Locost.

A 20" wide floor pan between the 6" tall tunnel and the 15" tall side sill should be plenty of room to be able to fit a variety of racing seats then?

Most manufactures have detailed measurement on their sites

But many of these measurements are hard points not soft points or at least not soft points after you have a body in the seat.

And then there's the convenience factor. If I know that the seat fits in the hole, but it rubs at such and such point or that it's hard to shift because of the angles that gives me much more info than just the technical specs.

I'm hoping to find out the trouble spots and design the other pieces so that I don't end up in the same boat.

taitec rails and recaro profi spgs fit with no issues. I think getting the right rails and a seat with shoulder bolsters that are the right width are the key issues in an S.

Recaro Pole position on buddy club rails, fits like a glove...No rubbing anywhere.
