Wow! Thanks for all the detailed replies!
That kind of information is really invaluable.
I'll likely install the box in the spare tire area as it won't get bumped. My plan is to make two wiring harnesses, one hard wired into my car and one for plugging into others' cars for quick comparisons.
I'm not too concerned about getting overwhelmed, we log 18-24 parameters on buses. It's always better to have too much data than to wish later that we had more. You can always ignore/blank data that you don't need at the track and review it in more detail later.
Steve: 'yaw demand' - that's brilliant and cool!

If your budget it tight, here's a used 5hz/7 input one.

If you want the latest and greatest (10Hz+WAAS/8 inputs), I can help you with that: http://fasttechlimited.com/products.htm
A/F is a good channel to log if your running custom ECU tuning. I even got a guy who's running some old school Datusn with dual carbs and he uses the 2 NGKs to balance the two carb settings.

The Dash3 looks very nice, but it is only just out. For the real skinny on all things Race-Technology, give Al a call. He's one reason why I'm enthusiastic about the probuct - he's given excellent customer support over the years.

I used a Beta DASH3 in my SpecE30 race this weekend.
Not quite "just out" for the US (a few European end users have received them). Al and I are trying to make sure it's as debugged as possible so we went and did one additional round of testing over out UK friends.
Units should being shipping next Monday. Unfortunately there are quite a few people already waiting so I'm anticipating a small delay at this point for new orders.
Let me know if I can help with your hardware needs.

So jlucas, tried to call you, didn't leave a message... What's the word on availability of the DASH3lite? I've got an event early Sept, otherwise I don't need it until Nov. Also what's the price jump from the lite to the non-lite?

So how did you like the beta unit?
Also, I assume that the first units out will be Dash 3s with the Dash 3lite to follow at a later date. Is that correct?

I haven't heard if there is going to be a difference in availability dates between the lite & non lite. I have quite a large number of people already waiting so everyone is anxious to get theirs. The distributor is on vacation this week and will be shipping them next week to the dealers.
