Default rear sway bar - remove or keep?

since GFACTOR started the wing thing and Yellow streak mentioned the removal of the rear sway bar.....

i have the stock lsd and am running stock TEIN RA's (not sure what the spring rates are even 2 years after i bought them).....

would I be smart to try to remove the rear sway bar? I have a ghetto wing that usually keeps my rear planted (planted enough for me anyway).

thanks

If you have no problems with inside wheelspin out of slow and/or off-camber turns, then leave it.

i probably due spin some..... i have the stock LSD which doesn't work that well....

Maybe I will try to disconnect both ends and just leave the bar there?? does that work? I would need to add ballast if i take it off completely....

I agree with twohoos. If you are going to try it you just need to disconnect one link, not both. For the best result you should compensate with stiffer springs, though I have 750 lb/in in the rear and still have my OEM bar connected. I prefer it this way(and can't remove or disconnect if I want to stay in SV's MOD class) although at Sears I had a lot of wheelspin, but not at other tracks that I run more often.

Richard's on JZR 3ways.

I removed my rear bar completely for weight savings, but simply disconnecting one end will have the same effect. I did it to compensate for running 225/245 stagger. My only complaint with the change was a lot more body roll on the stock suspension. Our race car also has no rear bar either, but the 800lb springs keep it pretty flat.
