Default Rear wing

Trying to decide on what to do for a rear wing on my car. Right now the car has a CR front and CR wing. I have to run a stock AP1 front to keep the car in TTC because the CR front is so many points. Thing is, I am taking points for the wing and want to get the best out of it.

So here is the options...

Keep the CR wing and leave the car alone.
Sell the CR wing and buy the S2000 fitment APR GTC-200
Sell the CR wing and buy the universal APR GTC-200

Either APR wing I buy I will have to re drill the trunk. But I have seen the S2000 Fitment APR bend the trunks so bad I was thinking that the universal fitment would work well and I could re brace the trunk like I did for my CR wing. The Bases for the Universal 200 is 29.5" and the bases on the CR wing are about 28".

I know I can get decent money for the CR wing because it is mint. Is there another option that I havent seen for an affordable wing that is direct bolt on replacement for the CR? So far all I have seen is the Voltex and that is Way more than I want to spend.

Help me decide, Racing Forum.

definitely don't get the universal its a pia to mount and you can't convert it to s2000 specific

it bends the trunk worse than the proper one - you can buy some rubber pieces that go on the CR trunk and modift them to stop the s2000 specific bending

I'm also for the S2K fitment. You may want to invest in a "track" trunk, as it will warp quite a bit with the GTC-200. Any old beat-up trunk would be fine for the track

There's a GTC-200 FS in the socal-fs section right now.

Aaron (cuonice) is currently developing a wing that maximizes what allowed by TT rules. Maybe talk to him?

Sell me CR wing and live happily ever after with more downforce from GTC-200.

The kognition is a great design but it requires giving up trunk space since it mounts to the trunk floor.

Damn that wing is huge. That is way more rear downforce than I need without being able to run any type of front splitter.

I have the side strikers that the CR comes with on my trunk allready.

I guess I will stay on the lookout for a used gtc-200 s2000 spec, and in the mean time put my CR wing up for sale. Thank you for the advice.

I bought a used universal wing with trunk and my body shop modified a bracket inside. So far so good.
