Why did they design the track like that? It looks like there is plenty of property around the track for larger run-offs.

I don't see myself pushing my car like I do at Pocono....

From the video's i've seen it looks like you come over that hill pretty fast, not sure how that impact feels in the suspension but that could unsettle a car, and then it looks like a hard brake point and turn in to the bowl. That bowl / karasel is a total unknown for me (0 experience on one).

That's why they call it "The Jump" You know you hit it right when your engine gets rev happy. As long as you keep the wheel straight and keep your foot in it, the car will settle down on its rear every time. The braking zone for the bowl starts much after you've landed from the jump. It is very easy to brake too early for the bowl, this is a spot were I believe a lot of time can be gained over others. You can carry a lot more speed into the bowl than you think, especially if you blend into it. I blend in with a good amount of speed, the car gets unsettled consistently, then the suspension compresses so much that the car regains composure and off we go.

As for the run off areas, the only places that I can see as being hairy are Big Bend and turn 2. Most other areas are fairly unlikely and low speed.

I belive there are plenty of ditches and all kinds on uneven surfaces along the walls. Can't tell in the picture.

Also, there are about 5 places along the course in which cars going in opposite directions can come in contact if there were no walls. Like the straights before and after the bowl.

Ah yes, the jump.. It'll scare the $hit out of you if your not set up for it. I had my Evo 4 wheels off last year.. As for MPH, you can make any where around 110 or so as soon as you make it under the bridge. This track is by far my favorite. Ya, the concrete on the edges can scare you at times but don't be afraid to push it.

Some other advice to take into consideration, too much throttle as you come on to the front straight will turn your track day into a drifting event. I have experience with this one.

Looking forward to meet everyone. Get there early or the good spots will be gone.

What time is early and where would the good spots be? Are there garages or just parking lot space?

^ Before the gates open. I guess between 7:00 and 8:00am.

No. the open space is a mix between pavement and grass.
