Redline Event at Summit Point
I'm pulling in Friday night. I had some e-mail communication with Nikolas, and as a result, I won't be parking as close as possible as a consideration. Supposedly, vendors will want/need those spots. I'll have my red trailer and white truck- can't miss 'em.

Why did they design the track like that? It looks like there is plenty of property around the track for larger run-offs.
I don't see myself pushing my car like I do at Pocono....

That's why they call it "The Jump"
You know you hit it right when your engine gets rev happy. As long as you keep the wheel straight and keep your foot in it, the car will settle down on its rear every time. The braking zone for the bowl starts much after you've landed from the jump. It is very easy to brake too early for the bowl, this is a spot were I believe a lot of time can be gained over others. You can carry a lot more speed into the bowl than you think, especially if you blend into it. I blend in with a good amount of speed, the car gets unsettled consistently, then the suspension compresses so much that the car regains composure and off we go.
As for the run off areas, the only places that I can see as being hairy are Big Bend and turn 2. Most other areas are fairly unlikely and low speed.

The single most important thing about the "Jump" is to track left over it. You go over centered or track right and you will end up in a wall. As long as you stay left you are fine.
any tricks you would like to share on the bowl?
Blend into the bowl. By this, I mean, put your driver's front wheel into the bowl first, then put the rest of the car in (versus putting the front wheels in at the same time). Right, Pete?
