I regret going with remanufactured calipers. I went with the Centric brand, or whatever it is, and they rusted completely and immediately. They refunded my money, but now I'm left with rusted calipers and not my original ones.

I am in the process of rebuilding my calipers. It is actually really easy to do. Just need the right tool for the ring clip which you can get on amazon. Waiting for my OEM seals to come in and then will put back together. The piston was still in excellent condition so didn't need to replace luckily.

I decided to stay with my originals since they are nisin brand and I know that the OEM quality rubber seals will be used.

Do you have the link to the tool on Amazon?
I just replaced one of my front calipers with a reman caliper but kept my OEM caliper so that I could rebuild it for a spare.

The front calipers don't require the special tool for removal, only the rears. But the link is below.
