It's neither insane nor "caged". That's just a tube frame race car being assembled, that's all.

Its sorta a hybrid. They still have a lot of the stock frame in there.

The front suspension uses all the stock pick-up points, hard to tell but it looks like the back is the same too.

Yeah, it is sort of a hybrid. It's not quite a pure tube frame. But it sure looks like that "cage" is structural -- meaning the car is hanging off of it. If you took it away, would the car fall apart?
