Default Removing the AC

Just so I can plan accordingly (time-wise). Does the radiator need to come out to remove the AC condensor? If so, does it have to come all the way out (drain and remove hoses)?

TIA

No. The radiator doesnt have to come all the way out to remove the condensor. Simply remove the retaining brackets and lean it back to gain access to the condensor.

Dave has helped me as well on ac removal. The compressor can be removed from below, and the alternator does not have to come out unlike what the Service Manual instructions dictate.

Taking out the evaporator is a pain; trying to fit the blower unit back into its place is a puzzle, and don't forget the screw you really can't see until you reallly look above the harnesses.

Are you removing the evaporator and / or heater core? If so, you will probably have to remove the blower anyway.

I would expect the blower, HEPA filter, heater core, and evaporator core to be at least as heavy (combined) as the condensor or compressor.
