You can't put towing capacity aside if you're going to discuss the Honda Ridgeline in a racing and competition forum - that's the whole reason we're discussing it here. People in this forum buy trucks for towing purposes. The Honda Ridgeline is made to tow 5000 lbs - half what the Nissan Titan tows. Even a race-prepped S2000 weighs like 2500 lbs with a cage. Add some tools and a trailer and that 5000 lb towing capacity doesn't seem like so much anymore - especially if you get an enclosed trailer. The Ridgeline also has 50 less hp and 150 less lb-ft of torque. The independent suspension is not designed with towing in mind. For the street and getting groceries, the Ridgeline is great. But it doesn't really compete as a tow vehicle - especially not considering how much more expensive it is than any of the competitors (Ford, Dodge, Chevy, Nissan, Toyota).
Yeah but if you get lost or hungry towing through an unfamiliar city, can you just push a button and say "Find nearest Italian restaurant", or "Find nearest gas station" and have it tell you exactly how to get there, with Zagat rating etc.?
voice command of navigation and all electronics is amazing.

Can it tell you if they use enough garlic to be worthwhile?

Alright - I've got to admit that's a cool feature. Does it also have that nav system like the RL has where it diverts you around traffic? That's one of the coolest gizmos you can put in a car right now!

Oh man, I saw that one coming and proceeded to walk right into the trap
sorry...

for $825 installed I can get an Edge Juice which has 6 settings and adds something like 150hp and 300lb ft of torque..... that would be 450hp and 900lb ft of torque!!!!

Guys are running the Qtr in their 7000lb Powerstrokes in the low 14's with just this modification!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

too bad it voids the warranty.

Hey, it's the speed through the corners that matter on this forum. I'l take you on with the Ridgeline on a tight roadcourse.

F250 may have to take a shortcut or two.

[QUOTE=The Reverend,May 11 2005, 02:53 PM]Triple H, I had priced the Titan out as a 4x2 just because I live in California.

As I have said many times, the Ridgeline is every bit a Honda, very very nice with some of the best fit and finish around, a great product!

Call me if ya ever need a tow, I suspect my Titan will handle your Ridgeline, your trailer and your S2000 just fine.

Thought I should report back. Towed for the first time this past weekend, about 400 miles round trip to Willow Springs. Heavy iron trailer (guess >1500 lbs), racecar, extra set of wheels and seven extra tires, four containers of tools etc. plus floor jack etc. No problem and very smooth and quiet, but who knows how my trips like this it will last, and yet to tackle the 4000 ft grapevine. On the uphill sections it would downshift and rev at around 4000 RPM at 65-70 mph (instead of maybe 2000 rpm), but this is still just purring for this Honda engine.
