Default Road Course coming to Ky

So ky is to finally get a road course, fantastic, we shoulda had one years ago, but its members only, $1200 a year is pretty cheap if you can go out every weekend, but one little string is attached, there is a one time initiation fee of $11,500. WTF, nobody in this God forsaken state can afford that kind of fee. Thanks a lot, if you can afford to build something like this you could at least make it for everybody. check it out for yourself at www.drivebluegrass.com It does say pre-construction fee so maybe the initiation fee will dissappear, I'm not sure, I hope so.

Dude, haven't you noticed yet that this is a pay-to-play sport?

Just like golf courses. Private v. public.

Yeah, I dont mind it being private as long as it doesnt take a fortune to race there, I'd pay for it happily, even if it cost more it would still be cheaper than driving all the way to mid ohio.

Only racing I've ever done is in karts. I'm a lapping day guy. Mainly because ... wait for it ... I can't afford racing.

I've found racing really doesn't cost that much more than lapping days. (past some initial car prep costs)

again you're gone about the same same. 2 day events are the norm, tho there are some 3day ones w/ scca. Being in the bay area tho you could drive home each night from Laguna or sears which I know atleast 2 people who do.
