Kinchu, what rail are you using for your seat?

Does your seat creak any? Also I know it looked awfully close to the floor. Does it actually touch or just hover above it a little? Also do you have the seat pitched back at all or is the front and rear sitting on the same holes on the rail?

some creaks, but not much...it definitely touches...it's pretty upright so practically same holes (although there are 3 in front and 5 in rear so not literally the same holes)

I'm starting to think that It's creaking b/c it touches that small hump on the floor. I had my brother's seat in my car for a few days on the same rail and had no creaking out of it but it wasn't touching the floor.

I guess what I meant was is it the same number of holes from the bottom of the rails. I know the front has more holes but I'm pretty sure starting at the bottom they are at the same height. Like my seat is 2 holes from bottom up front but only 1 hole from bottom out back.

counting from bottom to top, i have it in hole #1 in the front and hole #2 in the back...super low

and I think the creaking is from the rails themselves, not the seat touching

I was really thinking it could have been the rails. I've got the f1 spec rails and other than the front 5 hole bracket they look identical to the buddy club rails. The thing that makes me think it's not the rail though is that when I had my brother's seat in my car I had absolutely no creaking out of it and it was a cheaper seat too.

Hmmm I should put some pics of my new setup up. I added a harness and diagonal bar since the last s2k challenge as well as a sparco pro 2000 with g force harnesses...

^Please do. How does the pro2000 fit? I was actually considering that seat too. Did you ever use that seat with the factory seat belts?

Yes it fits, but it does rub slightly on the door depending on where you have it positioned. It worked with the stock seat belt, but i had to put a piece of wood between the buckle receptor and the seat in order to get the clip in there. It may rub on the center console, but I wouldnt know because I dont have one anymore.
