Default Rubber scuff marks

Can anyone recommend a good way to get all of those damn rubber scuff marks off my car? You know, from the tires throwing off "snakes".

I use Honda Polish that's sold in Motorcycle stores - it takes off road grime and bugs pretty well. Won't hurt the paint. Or you can just use the good old fashioned soap and water method - works just as well.

Wow, snakes never heard that one before, we just call it tire snot...

Things like WD40 and Bug & Tar Remover work yes, but they are not doing the wax on your car any favors at all. I have used a wax for years to remove these marks because I would rather add a little instead of strip some off. The cheap wax in the orange bottle called NuFinish, works just great. As soon as you open the bottle you can tell this stuff is loaded with petroleum products, and I suspect that is why it does such a nice job. The key is to rub gentle, not spread out the wax over a big area or you will distribute the rubber all over. Just work the area where the tire snot has left its mark and keep rotating the rag so you are always working with a clean area.

Get the liquid, not the paste.

(Trust me, I know I have issues, I try to keep my track car in immaculate condition, and for a track car it ain

I like the term that guy uses on F1 race commentary: "clag".
