I had the speed bleeders on my last S2k. They were amazing. It took longer to get the car in the air and tire off that it to do each caliper. About 10 pumps and fresh fluid comes through and your done. No need for any pumps and extra stuff to lug around.

it pretty much is just a tube and a check valve. i figure that you have to attach a tube to the speed bleeder anyway, so it becomes redundant. i had considered getting a set of speed bleeders, but to equip four cars with them would cost quite a bit more than a 4 dollar tube-

Looks like its just a tube or did I miss something. There might be a check valve in the tube but air could still get in from the thread which is not sealed.
Yeah - as you know the actual speed bleeders come with thread paste/gunk on them to seal the threads. To use this tube, I would first take out my stock bleeders and then but thread sealant on the threads. I guess you could try it without it first and see if it happens to work.

I had them on my Miata. I'm non-committal about them. They did what they were supposed to do, i.e. let you bleed the brakes solo, but for some reason I just never felt like I got a good bleed from them. I've also used the Powerbleeder and that always resulted in a good solid pedal.
My experience is the same.

Hmmm, looks like a lot of mixed reviews so far...
