Default Speed Bleeder Issue

Hey guys, I purchased & installed Speed Bleeders a couple months back so I could bleed the brake system myself for track days. I've been noticing a slow leak in my brake fluid reservoir and this past autocross I smelled brake fluid when I was measuring tire pressures and saw that the driver's side rear bleeder valve was leaking from the threads.

I just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case you were planning on buying these. They are very nice if you frequent track days and you are constantly checking your brake system after flushing fluid but I would not recommend these for a daily driver if they leak randomly like this. I had a spare speed bleeder and installed it but I had not bled the system recently.

If you still plan on purchasing these you have to make sure you are diligent at checking to make sure there aren't any leaks. Just my $0.02

So did the new speed bleeder fix it? Have the other leaked or was it isolated to just that one?

The others currently aren't leaking & this new one is currently working so far. I'll check again today. It's a known issue that they do leak at the threads if they are bled a lot. The solution is to remove them, apply thread sealant, and reinstall them. I'm just letting people know that one has leaked on mine and that they have to be diligent at watching them. It is possible that it was an isolated case.
