Default S2000 racing/high performance driving school?

Does anyone know if there are any racing or high performance driving schools for the S2000, that use cars owned by the school (my car isn't set up for track, and I also don't want to beat it up at this stage)? I searched, and it seems that the schools that used to do this have phased out the S2000.

Thanks!

I don't know of any that use S2000s but here is where you can find a list of SCCA accredited schools.

I had no idea that any schools ever had used the S2000. It wouldn't be my choice for a school car, actually.

Just take your own car to a school that uses the drivers' cars. How much you "beat it up" is under your control.

Or, if that's really not a preferred option, take a school using some other car. You'll learn no matter what, even if the cars are FWD. But RWD would be better if its available.

I've always wanted to do the Skip Barber's Mazdaspeed MX-5 Cup 3-Day Racing School: http://skipbarber.com/racing_school/mx5/mx5racing.aspx

I was planning on going to Fast Lane @ WSIR. Its SCCA accredited and probably the cheapest option. As long as your car is race prepped you can use your own car instead of renting.

Looks like I wont be able to attend till 2010 though

Not sure where you're located Seeker, but I had a good experience at this school: http://www.faasst.com/

It is NASA and SCCA accredited. For the Race School it sounds like you'd need to rent a prepped car. They also offer a non-accredited school that I'm sure would be valuable depending on your goals... you could run your car for the non-accredited school.

If you are into autocross I would recommend Evolution driving school.

The Mid-Ohio School still has the S2000 listed under their vehicles section.

The only course I see mentioning it though is the Corporate one. You might want to call them and see if they offer it in anything else.

let me tell you, I did a Race weekend at Sebring in the beginning of April. It was the most fun I've had on a track, other than the RT2000 cars. The MX-5's are well prepared and very easy to drive at the limit. Very predictable and controllable.

I took the intro class with skip barber at Road America. I signed up for the MX-5 cars cause it was a few days before i got my S and wanted to practice with a rear wheel drive car. They didn't have the MX-5s there that year but the class was amazing and the formula cars are awesome!!
