I've raced my S2000 on the track for Solo 1.
Rollbars are currently NOT required for S2000's to compete due to their integrated roll hoops. Though after an event this year with 3 rollovers in one weekend, one being a miata (with a rollbar), I think they may rethink the requirement for the S2000 next year. Fact is, even without a helmet I clear those hoops. The seating position in the S isn't close enough to the windshield to have the windshield save you. You'd have to slouch and do so fast under extreme G-Forces.
After that weekend, I stopped racing the S2000 on the track and now it's a Solo2/AutoX queen. (which I'm doing quite well with lately in stock form). I could put a roll bar in for $800.. but I decided I needed a dedicated car I could afford for the track.
If you want video/photos, go to http://www.radismotorsports.com where I have tons of footage of me in the Stook on a few tracks here in Ontario. In car mount, exterior footage and also bumper cam stuff. There's footage of other competitors S2K's as well. There were 3 in Solo 1 here, now there is only 1. They kick some serious ass beating out the odd Super 7. In fact my FTD yesterday at AutoX beat a Super 7's best time.
Oh also, since the article has expired, theres more track footage of the Stook at http://www.radismotorsports.com/cascs10101.html and
