Hi everyone.

I just red this topic for a one hour and Im really happy that I found something about weight reduction in s2000. I already building an s2000 for track racing in Poland. It will be the first such a project in my country so I can call myself a pioneer )

Already I done this things:

A/C out
All interior including air bags and everything else
Bumber bars
door bars but i save stock glass
Soft top replaced by stock bare HT with plexiglas window.
Removed front light with all electric instalation replaced by a fiber caps
Cut out ribs(?) of tailgate
stock exhaust replaced by a 2.5' straight pipe with one muffler.

Of the thing that increase the weight I have full roll cage and custom body kit but in my opinion it have simmilar weight as stock bumbers.

On this stage i have a question to more experienced users - If I have full roll cage - which parts of cars construction I can cut out?
There is some fotos:

Car is already under construction

Sorry for bad english but I hope that you understand me!

I am in for this as well..I was told it was about 5 lbs. only with the addition of the sheet metal which practially weights nothing..it seems like it would be a lot of more.

I think I would enjoy this mod cause it will really expose the suspension / diff components in the back. There is a thread on it with some guys who have done this mod. I've also seen the more extreme guys cut out the piece after the stock rear strut tower bar and add a piece of sheet metal there too.

when factory seat belts are removed how do you shut off the srs light , or do you all just leave it on? The light isnt a big deal i just want to make sure Im not missing something ? Im running a roll bar, sparco seat and 5 pt so the seat belts are gone along with entire center console .
The resistance is 1.5-1.6 ohms. So a 1.5 ohm resistor should do the trick.

I tested it out and as I presumed, it works.
Please excuse the crappy iphone pics:

I have the stupid airbag light on. Says its a 11-20 code: Airbag Low Resistor. Would that trick of yours work???? Can you please tell me in more detail how to do it??? That light just annoys me while driving lol.
