Recently stripped out AP1 soft top assembly with a few interior trim pieces and insulation etc
30.6kg
Forbidden frp hardtop with rsg race brackets is 13.8kg

So 16.8kg saved

Also replaced standard sized battery with a pc680 and saved another 5kg

Brings my total weight savings up to 103.5kg (street trim) and 118.8kg (race trim)

Bump! About to embark on the weight loss journey and hoping some fellow brothers would morally support my diet.

Bump! mine sits at 2744 Ibs with a full tank of gas and without the hardtop on. Gutted the trunk, has rpf01s, cruise control delete, momo hub and wheel, intake, test pipe and single exhaust. Anything else I can get rid of to shed some more weight?

Im at 2791 with me in it (170 lb) and a full tank of gas.

Gutted interior, doors (no glass, tracks, or motors), no airbags, but still has carpet. Buddy club seats (11 lbs a piece) and no softtop with harddog rollbar and OE hardtop (no liner).

I'm at 2600 with me in it and half tank of gas. Since weighing it I removed front brace (car is primarily used for drag racing) rear bumper support.

plan on modifying front subframe and get a manual steering rack, remove carpets and sound deadening, ac evaporator and radio. Also bought spare doors to cut them.

Default RE:

I'm at 2595 with 1/3 tank of gas without me in the car (2003). Have full interior and soft top etc.

That's with no visors, no air pump, nothing in the trunk (tools and spare removed), antenna removed, etc. lightweight flywheel, cruise control removed, aftermarket headers, and aftermarket stainless single exhaust/test pipe, aftermarket intake, KW clubsports and spoon front calipers, two piece rotors, enkei rpf1 17", continental DW's for the street, spark plug coil pack cover removed, lightweight alternator pulley, some misc heat-shielding removed from under the car. Weight added was rear diffuser, front tower brace, cusco lower brace, emanage, oil catch can, ipod connector, air pump simulator.

Probably at 2591 now with apr side mirrors and even less with my billet rear diff mounts (which I weighed as a few lbs less than stock) and soon to be less with evap removal and acrylic side windows going in, but then again, I'm going to add weight with roll bar going in soon, front splitter, front brake ducts, oil cooler, supercharger kit, and master cylinder brace. Eventually the AC might go as well. I'm sure I'm forgetting a few things at the moment that are a plus and minus to the weight.

Hey guys, i've also started a lightweight project. Here is a clip with about 80% of all the lightweight modefikations.

I get the car with 1260kg without a/c and with the mugen muffler......and than i reduce the weight to 1200kg without driver and full tank.

These winter i will change 2-3 thinks to reduce the weight under 1200kg......we will see.....

cheers
