I think the issue was that certain Mod class drivers who followed the rules and thought they did everything possible within the rules, and were still 100-200 pounds heavier. I hope they speak up soon.

I've decided we are not going to DQ Jim's points for the prior event at SOW. He will have to undo the questionable/not allowed mods for the last event of the year.

Next year we will change the rules so that a MOD class car cannot weigh the same as a fully stripped racecar. This will probably mean about 2800lbs. with driver (just guessing), if we go with a minimum weight. But, this will all be discussed and figured out soon.

Secondly, starting in 2011, we will not be loosey-goosey about rules. Infractions will lead to DQ's. The only way to not get DQ'd will be to ask for a waiver BEFOREHAND, in which case the modification can be evaluted and possibly added to the FREE mods list during the season or for that event.
