Default S2KI Racing School ??

I'm trying to gauge interest in an exclusive 3 day racing school program for S2KI members. If you would like to attend please let know by posting your interest here.

Derek Daly Academy, Las Vegas NV, Sept 3-5 2002

Program: Full 3 day formula racing school

Qualification for SCCA regional competition license

Day 1: Technique Oval (Formula Cars), Evasive Action Simulator (Z3) & Skid Car

Learn advanced car control skills and racing skills such as trailbraking, heel-toe downshifts and the correct line.

Day 2: Lead/Follow and Lapping Sessions (Formula Cars)

Learn passing techniques, starts and enjoy long lapping sessions to practice.

Day 3: Lapping Sessions. Practice Starts and Passing Excercises (Formula Cars)

More like day 2

If we can get 9 people (10 max) we can do this for $2200/ea + $150 insurance ($389 off the regular price). I might be able to beat them down some more. Vegas is cheap to stay and eat (and party) and is easy to get to.

If this is something you'd seriously like to do reply here.

Man, I would *love* this!!

It's kinda short notice though -- I'd like a little more time to save up (say Oct/Nov). What's driving the 9/3-5 dates?

haha

The date is not set (random), it can be moved depending on what meets peoples schedules. It would also give us more time to get the 10 we need for an exclusive class and the 15% discount.

If we can do this in October or November, I'd be interested. Also, can we do the class on a Fri-Sat-Sun or Sat-Sun-Mon? I'm going to have a difficult time getting 3 or 4 days off from work. Thanks.

How about a three day course at mid ohio, a much better track to drive and learn about all types of corners.

Mid america location would be great ...OR an east and west coast school. But I'm all about the opportunity.

I'm interested. Not sure if can afford it tho.

If it's somewhere in the midwest that's fine w/ me too. Though the Jim Russell school the bay area folks put together at sears point was cool because you got to learn in your own car.
