x bars are more rigid than nascar bars so it's best to have both.

Shad and I talked about the ideal way to route NASCAR bars on the S2k and that's through the door jam but that was with an earlier cage design. I can't quite tell from the cage pics whether he's still going to do that.

Update,
The cage stuff is getting very close to an end. We got Rylan up here today to do a final check of the pedals, steering and seat position before the final welding. I think everything is working out well. We did most of the mock around the larger Recaro seat so when we put the smaller race seat in, we had allot of extra room (not that you have very much room in an S2k). Tolle fab is finishing everything up next week of the main fab work (before he heads back to Realtime to finish next years WC cars). We will then get the car back in our shop to start mocking everything up. I hope to have the trans from England the middle of next month so we can then install the mock up engine and build a rear trans mount. Cheers, Shad

because the floor mounted pedals won't fit otherwise.

Update,
Most of the main fab/cage/chassis work is now done. Next is to start mocking everything up, install suspension, set ride heghts, check bump steer, etc. Cheers, Shad

Could a size 12.5 shoe fit and not bump the steering column? ;-)
