Sears Point blew engine.
Hey Guys and Gals,
I blew my engine up in my race.
Ran a half race with no water in the engine.
I wanted to know if anyone in California, Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, or anywhere else in driving distance had a spare engine I could take off your hands.
Anyhow Rylan Won BOTH Races with room to spare.

it was still running when I came off track.
I pulled into impound and it died.
I had 2nd place and then I was 9 pounds under weight because I had no water.
So then I was disqualified and lost all my points for that race.
not to mention it was a double regional and that was the 1st race.
One good thing about all of that was I got to watch Ry race.....its been a while....
My car at about 1/2 way through ran out of water and the gauge went to 4 bars then dropped back too 3 it was only up for a second so I thought nothing of it.
by the time I pulled in the motor was smoking and the oil filter label was melted off....
Bottom line it sucked and I learned a lesson.

Weird, you're saying that the temp gauge didn't register higher than normal? I suppose that's possible if it's not actually in water, what with the engine being empty and all, but that still doesn't sound right to me. I'd imagine it's f'ing hot in the cooling journals, water or not.
forgot to tell where the watter went.
There was a watter cap blocking off one of my heater pipes and it was leaking.
I heard a sound that I thought was something whistling on my window net.
but I guess It was the watter leaking out.
It was human and mechanical.
I looked at the AF ratio and it was around 10.1 when I came off.
I should have known something was way wrong.

What you would need in this case is a water level sensor to go along with the water temp sensor.
