Default Seat rail/mount ?s

Yes I looked through 43 pages of the stickies and probably my answer was there I lust missed it with all the bling glaring off the thread. I recently purchased a cobra imola pro gt seat and Schroth harnesses for my 03. This car is about 85% track toy at this point. Bought from a reputable company (HMS motorsports) who put safety first. They have had a lot of trouble getting the seat to fit me comfortably. Got a wedge engineering base plate and a recaro slider with vac sideplates. First try the slider made it way too high, felt higher than the stock seats. Pulled that out and bolted direct to the base plate. Lower but the seat has to sit too far forward. I had to get home(5 hours) so I went to fiddle myself tonight. If I try and move the vac plate back in its adjustment positions it covers the rear inboard seat rail mounting bolt. Should I scrap the plate/side plates? Any one had this combo? What works well for low safe seat mounting. (base/side plates)? I know it has been covered but search took me to 1+ year old posts too.
Thanks for any and all help

I use BuddyClub rails for my SPG and it works great. I also got lower sidemount brackets from F1Spec and got my seat even lower.

Just checking - you are saying the F1 spec sidemount rails are lower than the ones that come with the Buddy Club Super Low Down kit?
Also - how tall are you and do you run into any "broomstick" rule issues?

Thanks.

Im assuming this setup is only for the driver side, correct? Because there was no way that the passenger rail would work w/ the F1 Spec side brackets on an '06+.

No, the F1 spec rails and Buddy club rails are exact replicas of each other as far as i know. F1 spec offers different mounting brackets that you can use that are lower. I used F1 low brackets on my Buddy club rails.
I'm 5'10" but never really measured to see if i pass the broomstick test. I know that i can mount my seat pretty much on the floor with my setup.

I'll try to snap a picture of my rails/seat. It's currently off the car.

Here you go. The installed brackets are the F1spec. I placed the Buddyclub brackets that originally came with the rails next to them. As you can see I can place the seat a lot further down with the F1spec brackets. In fact I need to lower the seat. It's on the highest possible setting on the F1spec right now.

Thanks - without the slider it is impossible to mount the seat bolts with the seat in the appropriate (mostly all the way back) position?

Are those seat mounting plates made of steel? The ones I have are 1 piece aluminum but appear much thicker. I am really having a hard time getting either low or back enough.
cpger: if your seats are still off can you tell me if a seat with a bottom width of 16 1/2-16 5/8" will fit between?
