Default shift knob for track car

It's late at night and mind is wandering...what kind of shift knob do you prefer on a track car?

Do you prefer heavy or light? Tall or short?

Material consideration over those others you list. Nothing worse than a knob that retains heat even if you wear gloves. I have large hands so a big knob feels better. When I was 15 years younger I preferred as heavy of knobs as possible. Now I tend to get one's that weigh less as I have to think it's all benefits with no downside. S2000 is one of the best shifting cars on earth, so luckily they come out the gate pretty perfect. I prefer a normal height as going up and down changes throw.

Duracon Shift Knob.

Super light weight, which i prefer, so you can really feel the gears engage. It's counter sunk, so I have it on a 2" extender rod since i want a little bit more height than stock.
The shaft style shift "knob" allows for using a reverse hand grip for my 2->3 and 4->5 up shifts.

I previously was using a very heavily weighted Modiction knob that was super sunk down, which made the shift feel smooth to the point of numbness.

Edit: I should also add that you'll need a thread conversion nut.

I prefer the looks of others, but the ball CR or Type R knob has always been my favorite for performance driving. It never slips out of your hand, the weight is right, and it's been the most reliable for me in terms of never missing a shift or getting caught on the gate. I like that you can put the bottom of the knob between your middle and ring finger, like how you hold a glass of wine when you want to impress people I too used to have a Moddiction, and found that other, lighter knobs were better for driving hard.

I’ve got the factory titanium knob. It’s pretty heavy but I’ve never really tried a bunch of different ones. Maybe I’ll try something a little lighter.

I used an axial flow short shifter but thought it made it tougher find the gears. I switched back to a stock shifter.
