Default Should I be posting in R&C?

Are R compound tires a part of the price of entry here? I go to every Evolution school in the state, and at the local PCA events I'm quick enough to beat a number of cars that are running R compound or racing rubber, and I'm about to drop 600 bucks into an adjustable FSB, so I believe I'm as serious about improving my car and my driving skills as anyone here, but for reasons I won't go into here, I have elected to autocross the car on the same tires I drive on the street every day (OEM S02's). Because I know some people think you're not serious if you're not running R compound tires I've never been comfortable posting in this forum, but tonight I started wondering if the R compound tires were really a part of the price of entry.

Do I have to be trying to dominate my class to fit in here, or is it sufficient that I have a seroius interest in autocrossing and getting more out of the car?

Before you can post here, you either need to hold the track record at your local track or pay every other poster $25. PM me for my address.

Shoot, I ran road tire class last year and posted about my experiences with the RE01Rs.

If they let me get away with it, you're in...

Why don't you just run in the street tire class instead of A Stock?

OMG go back to S2000 talk you noob !!!!

Seriously, anyone who knows what an evolution school is - is ok by me.

But if you've never driven a well set up S2000 on race tires, then don't. It's all over after that. I can't imagine going back.

^What they said.

But also, all you need to do is be more concerned with performance than bling, and you'll fit right in. (A thick skin wouldn't hurt either.)

Oh, and use the search, you asshat.
