Anyone out there planning on running the Nevada Silver State or Silver State Classic with their S2K this year?

 

That sounds like an awesome race. I have seen shows about it on TV. Describe it...it would be cool to hear from the perspective of a local person...

I've got a good friend that's registered to run. He's trying to get his Corvette prepared to run in the 170 mph class but he may have to drop back to the 150 mph class.

 

What average speed do you think the S2000 would be comfortable running? I would guess the slower categories of 95 or 100 mph average. Remember, you need to slow for the curves and maintain a higher speed in the straights.

In 1999 Wei-Shen Chin, the organizer of Chin Motorsports, drove his 1994 NSX to first place in the 135 mph category.
