The title say it all, how fast did you got your S2000 to?

 

I've only gone to 115. When I'm out on regular roads or the freeway, I get nervous (cops, other drivers, deer, etc.) I just feel good knowing it can do more if I really want to test it.

 

85 mph. And at the time, that was about the average speed of everyone else on GA 400 here in Atlanta.

Yep, I know it'll do a lot more. That's comforting in a way.

My wife's Toyota Avalon will go a lot faster than I've ever driven it as well, but I don't feel the need to prove it in either vehicle.

 

With my old S2000, my top speed ever was 131 during S2kDays in Asheville, behind several other S2k's that were going much faster!

With my '02, the fastest was 126 with WebGod during the OBX Run!

Both times, there were no other vehicles on the road. At least I never saw any of them!

 

140 with the top down this weekend without breaking a sweat. Tried to do a top up run but caught traffic. Sigh.

 

I don't know, but I can get to 60 about 6 seconds - a little under with a good launch! And I can get on the freeway and up to speed in just a couple of seconds. That's what I like about this car.

 

I hit 140 mph on the way to Palm Springs two weekends ago. Top down, windows down and one nervous passenger!

It didn't take long and I didn't stay at that speed for more that 20 seconds. I was still in 5th and it seemed like I had a bit more to go if I had pushed it.

With the top down i already had reach 262 km, but with my hard-top i already had done 274/5km. It was in an very good highway with no one in the road when i tried it.

From what i heard all over the net S2000 fanatics usually top it a 160mph indicated (+- 4mph)

 

i hit 124 the other night racing a new m3. i got decimated...but it was fun and the driver was really cool. after he pulled on me...he slowed down to give me a thumbs up...then he took off again...i had to exit so i didn't try to keep with him. it was a fun night...
