Default So I changed my brake fluid

So I changed my brake fluid today, now I have a problem w/ the brakes.

I have to step on the pedal deeper than before in order to brake as hard as before. And now, I can press the pedal to the floor which it's hard for me to do before I change my brake fluid.

My brakes just felt weaker now, I worry about if I need to do a sudden stop on the street, I wont be able to do it as effective as before, since my pedal now can hit the floor easier than before.

Do I need to get my brakes adjusted? Is it required every time you bleed the brakes? Sry for these noob question lol

BTW I'm using the Motul 600 brake fluid now, so it should brake better than stock.

Anyways, thanks for the help!

Firstly, Motul 600 - or any other fluid - won't make "it brake better than stock". Read it, comprehend it, don't forget it.

As far as your squishy brakes are concerned, it sounds like you may have introduced air into the lines...

Do it again, but this time don't leave air in the lines. It takes some practice to get it right.

What technique did you use to do the flush? I have found nothing works nearly as well for me as a pressure bleeder. I use the one from Motive Products.

The shop did it for me, all I did was step on the brake and let go, when they ask me to.

fluid is fluid, they don't compress, if your padel is mushy, something else is wrong

in your case of changing new fluid, the shop did a bad job bleeding the fluid

i hope it's not the same shop that tells you DOT 4 is worse than DOT 3

Well....... I just went out for a test drive, fortunately my brakes are strong enough to lock up the wheels lol, the ABC kicked in before the pedal is floored. I'm glad this happen haha, I thought my brakes wont be strong enough to lockup the wheels, even when I floors it. So I think I should be fine now..... the brake is just not as sensitive as before, but oh well.....

Anyways thanks for the helps guys!! very appreciated.

How many times did you pump before releasing the pedal slowly? Was the hose submerged in fluid during the bleeding process? Wacking the caliper with a rubber mallet helps get rid of any trapped air bubbles too.

Good luck.
