I've heard many times on this forum that the true weight is closer to 2600 lbs.

Is that true?? Is there a solid proof to back it out??

Damn.. 2600 lbs is awesome. Strip some parts, racing seats, and get it down to 2400 lbs!! 1000 lbs less than the M3!

The Honda website lists it as 2809#. But just to be sure, next time I take a load of garbage, left overs from the garage sale, garden clippings, etc, to the dump, I'll have it weighed for ya.

I've weighed my car.

LF - 717lbs RF - 712lbs
LR - 746lbs RR - 716lbs
A total of 2890lbs including driver. Pretty well balanced. I weigh about 145, so it's 2745 on it's own. Gas tank was a little below half full.

A friend races in the Grand Am Cup and had the car for testing at a track event I was at. So I just used the scales they had set up.

Anyone looking to weigh their car in Chicago area http://www.teamnoracing.com/ has scales and the software to figure cross weights etc. You could tell them Pete sent ya but I doubt my name carries any weight

There is a certified scale for checking trucks between Monmouth and Corvallis on hwy 99 in Oregon if anyone in the area wants to try. It's open all the time and free. My friend weighed his s2000 with both of us in it once, but I can't remember exact numbers, only that we calculated that it was lighter than Honda claimed.

in autox trim: single straight pipe and JDM wheels with Hoosiers, and almost no gas, no spare tire or jack, or floor mats you're looking at 2610 lbs.
