Default Sonoma Raceway

I'm thinking about making the pilgrimage to Sonoma Raceway. I've always wanted to run that track, but they have a sound limit of 103 db.

My S2K has stock exhaust but I do run a K&N FIPK air intake. Has anyone run Sonoma Raceway with this and does it meet the sound restrictions?

Thanks!

When I was there people were running intakes and exhausts, 103 is pretty loud.

I have K&N intake, Comptech header, and stock exhaust. Not even close to the 103 db limit at Sonoma. Even with a titanium single exhaust you wouldn't have a problem.

Probably an exaggeration. I'm thinking of pulling my Berk 3" for Sonoma because I'd doubt it will pass the 106 max.

Has anyone ran there with a single and TP and passed?

You're fine... I used to run the berk 3" headerback with test pipe and have never had a problem passing the 103db limit

I'm shocked. I've emailed around and can't get an answer how loud the Berk is. I thought it was a sure fail.

I appreciate the info

No problem, just thought I could save you the work of swapping it for that day

Not that its relevant to you, but I was also out at Sonoma with the EVS 70-SSP w/ 70mm test pipe and passed just fine with that setup too. Im not sure where they record the sound at Sonoma but I think its far enough away to be fine with most exhausts.

FIPK with stock exhaust at about 50' WOT was about 93dB at one of our local autox.
So no way a TP will run you up over 103
