Spacers & extended studs
I might be fitting Spoon calipers under my CE28s (+50)
If I go for a 10-12mm hubcentric spacer with extended nuts, is there any mechanical downside, other than arch issues?
Can't think of one. Car is purely used for racing.
Thoughts appreciated.

Yep fenders. Arches is what we call them in the Uk (wheel arches)
I don't care about the liners, more that they will rub on the 'fender'
I have 17x7.5 with 235 / 45 A048s. Lowered on Nitrons (see my avatar)
Thanks!

I run a 17x10 wheel all around with 15mm spacers in the front and 20mm in the rear using extended studs.
Many track guys run spacers (not just s2k). As long as it's not the stud & spacer config built in to one unit, you'll be fine.

I'm personally uncomfortable running those. You never know whether the internal lugnut has loosened, unless you take the wheel off every-time. Also unsure on the quality of metals used on that stubby stud.
You're safer off using a quality ARP extended stud, without dealing with 'two' sets of lug nuts; one behind the wheel and one in front.
