Nothing ambiguous about that, to me.

And it's inevitable that nobody will cover HPDE on a normal auto policy, IMO.

Right, so I parked my car...then a tire wall ran into it. That's comprehensive

And a deer jumping in from of a moving car isn't compressive. It's always been explained to me that if your car is moving (or the other car is moving - ie: it rolled into you) then its collision. Compressive would be when the dear runs into it while its parked.
On mine, collisions with animals are generally considered comprehensive rather than collision. YMMV. As always with insurance, it depends policy by policy, state by state.

exactly but I don't think the claims officer is gonna buy it.

Yeah, I just have to work on my sales pitch.

"there were these REALLY big tires you see..."

Add Progressive to the list of insurance companies that have now adopted similar verbiage.

My most recent renewal (also for WA) included almost identical wording that states no coverage when driving the car on a track designed for racing. This is a change from my coverage as of last year which was specific to events in which either racing, timing or practice for such an event was involved.

Thanks for the head's up Mike - my homeowner's policy is from State Farm and I was considering switching my S2k over to that company after reading my recent Progressive renewal. I guess I will be doing some more insurance shopping now.
