I pretty much gave up on finding one that doesn't have the language since all the major companies in Ohio have it new. This year I went with a surplus, stand alone, HPDE policy (American Collectors) but guess what.... they are not going to continue them. Not enough people got them, so it wasn't cost effective for them.
Not sure what I'm going to do for 2007.
Farmers has never had that language in California, not sure about Ohio/other states. I would expect to see this language crop into every policy eventually. I think the Internet has made track days more accessible to more people.
Funny you should mention Deer. A Caprice going about 80-90 hit a Deer at turn 4 on Summit main last Friday. Grand or two damage to the car, deer guts everywhere. There were several yellow flags after that for deer crossings.
Rental 350Z rolled off turn 10. Wonder who's insurance has to cover that?

Good question. Probably worth paying for the CDI on a rental if you are going to the track, but read it first. Probably it has an exclusion for anything "off public roads".

The moral of the story: Don't push hard on the track if you can't afford (monetarily & emotionally ) to push it off a cliff and walk away.
IMHO, if you cannot afford to wreck your street car on the track and fix it yourself then maybe you should reconsider taking your street car on the track.
