Steering Ratio
While this isn't a question about racing and S2k, it is a technical question about racing.
I'm working on designing the suspension and steering for a baja style car for competition next year as a project for college. (Mini Baja, if anyone did it before). I'm looking at a steering ratio of ~12:1 which, at a maximum front wheel angle of 30 degrees, should correspond to a full rotation of the steering wheel from going straight to turning as much as possible. I was just wondering how this sounds to any of you who race competitively.
Any other suggestions about tuning or suspension geometry are welcome. I only started learning how to design suspension geometry and analyze vehicle dynamics a month ago, so I'm still learning.
thanks.
