Default Stock class for NASA TT?

I've been having a hard time getting info off the NASA website. Does anyone know what the class is for a stock S2K for Time Trial? I found and printed the mod list with points and found that I would get bumped up a class... just need to know where we start.

Based on page 13 of the rules, a bone stock S2000 starts in class TTD with seven mod points.

thanks for the info... I hope I don't get bumped up two classes. I did not realize that we start with 7points! I'll have to re-add.

I wanted to stay within TTD and am running a stock suspension with hankook z14s 225/245 in the midwest region. '07 rules were hard on s2000's - the s2k that won last year's nationals wouldn't fit into TTD this year. TTD this year requires a pretty stock car w/rcomps. John Slinkard's TTB s2k is extemely fast (driver) but really lacks the power of other TTB cars. The BMW M-cars should really dominate TTD this year (no base class points, torque, and a good chassis).

My TTD winning S2000 WOULD have fit into TTD again this year. I also suspect it could LOTS fatser with the open ring and pinion and liberal weight reductions allowed in '07...

Can you post a list of your modifications?

My mistake Allen - that assessment was taken from your website (and list of modifications to the car) comparing them to the '07 rules.

What i totaled:

S2000 TTD +7 Base
V710 tires +10
Springs +2
Sway +2
CAI +1
Exhaust +2
TOTAL = +24 making it a TTC car.

Am i missing something?

Congrats on the win last year.

That's what I had on my tech sheet, BUT I never had a chance to bolt the new tires. All year I changed configurations. I went from coilovers and ra1's to stock air box, to stock suspension with hoosiers, etc, etc...

and it weighed 2950 with me in it. If competition would have been closer, I was prepared to step it up.

Focus on your driving, practice at mid ohio, try different alignments, and FOCUS ON YOUR DRIVING before modding the car.

Both an e36 M3 and a S2000 have a shot at TTD if no one shows up with a LS1 F-body.
