stock roll-bars
I want to enter a local autocross event and have been informed that the stock roolbars must meet SCCA hillclimb requirements. The roolbars must be above the top of my helmet (probably not true for rear rollbars). I believe the windshield is part of the rool-bar and if the windshield is included the stock rollbars meet he hillclimb requirement. My initial contact with the New England Region (NER) of SCCA said I am responsible for getting this information about my S2000, so here I am. Is anyone aware of a SCCA ruling (from any SCCA region) about the adequacy of the stock rollbars for hill climbs (and therefore the autocross I want to attend)?
Thanks in advance.

Solo 2 autocrossing in SCCA A Stock does NOT require special rollbars. Prepared and modified classes probably do.
If yer running the stock class, tell 'em to reread their rule books.
The windshield frame isn't part of the rollbar they're referring to...

Least you expect too much from your windshield in a roll over, take a look at this BMW hardtop that rolled over.

The ilovebacon link has some more info as well. Both instructor and driver were released from the hospital after observation later that same day.
