Stock Springs - progressive or linear?

What makes you think they are progressive? I don't think I've ever actually seen a load v. displacement graph for the "stock springs". (And by the way, there are at least three different versions of "stock springs" -- 00-01, 02-03, 04+.)

The stock springs ('04-05) have consistent pitch, gauge, and coil diameter, so I doubt that they are progressive.

No... he's saying they're NOT progressive. Are you familiar with what progressive and linear are?
Progressive rate springs are made more for comfort, and get stiffer as they coil in-turn.
