I've been using performance friction 06 compound and they have been phenomenal. Hardly worn after two track days and great bite. I switched to the stop tech street pads for road use after and ended up putting the pf pads back in after a few hundred miles as I found the pf pads much better and with more bite even on road driving.

In a pinch I used the stock stoptech pads. They held up but I wouldn't recommend it. I don't imagine they'd last very long. More importantly, I prefer a track pad with much more bite.

I use the Pagid RS-19 and they're excellent. They seem expensive until you factor in longevity. I have ~25 track days on mine and there's plenty pad material left.

I do have ducting.
Goodness, 25 track days on a set of pads, that more than pays for the Stoptech BBK. Excellent!

Does Pagid make a street pad that's compatible with the RS-19? My car's a daily driver as well as weekend track toy. Thanks!
When I was running the pagid rs29's, I swapped back and forth between the stoptech pads all the time. Had no problems. It was tricker going from the pagids to the stoptechs vs the stoptechs to the pagids.

And yep, the pagids last a heck of a long time. I was trying my hardest to kill them just so I could change it up and experiment with a different pad hah

What issues did you have swapping back from the Pagid's to the stock Stoptechs? Brake judder, or just a lack of bite until the stock pads rebedded?

So you're running the PF6's all the time, street and track. Are you getting noise and squealing when driving around town?

If you're looking for a pad thats plug and play check out the new Project MU HC800. Its a hybrid pad that is supposed to be a much better substitute to the Ferodo DS2500 with higher coefficient of friction and wider temperature range. As an addd bonus they are cheaper that the DS2500s

the pfc pads will make noise on the street. I switch between pf 08 (front)/97(rear) and the stoptech pads. No issues with pad deposits/etc. My reason for swapping is to use the much cheaper stoptech pads for street use

Fyi - The pfc 06 is discontinued and replaced with the 08. The 08's have more stopping power

Surprisingly no. Very occasionally a tiny squeak but not squealing at all. To a passenger or passers by they'd never think the brakes were any different as they are no more noisy.

I do hardly any miles, I use the car for a drive maybe every two weeks and the pads are so hard wearing I thought I'd just stick with them as I find they perform better. I don't get any noise which surprised me.

I didn't realise they had discountinued the 06. They are still on the PF site and I had read the 8's had slightly less bite but last even longer. As I'm happy with the 6 I will probably just stick with them when I need a change, that is if they are still around then!

I just thought id add that now it has been a long time since my last track day the pads are really squeeling on the street now. I guess the pad material must have worn off the discs. Ill have to go and do some emergency stops somewhere.
