It was hot, so the laptimes are probably a bit slower than they could be...

Stock evo - i did upgrade brake pads to sbs blue's...they are not much better than stock though.... porterfields and panther + are much better.

1:31.704 for me.
1:33.855 for Nick Gately - (i am pretty sure he is on this board.... ).. he is from NJ and has a rollbar and aftermarket suspenion.

I was only hitting about 125mph down the big straight...i think due to gearing and heat....

cool...thanks.... pete's car either was not being pushed too hard, or something... it is stripped pretty well and is supercharged... should be faster... A H1 Crx ran 1:25:424 and that was in the heat yesterday.

Haha, yeah. I was in the blingin' blue Subaru shirt. The guy in the middle was my girlfriend's brother. He's 17, but with that hair cut he looks about 14. And the guy smoking was a NASIOC member I just met that day.

But, yeah. The last thing I would've thought of asking an EVO owner at Hyper Fest would be "Are you a member of the S2000 board?"

I'm trying to get in touch with Nick Gately. His car was being repaired here in Danville, VA not too long ago. A friend at the local Honda dealership told me about his car. Apparently he was involved in an off course event while running at VIR.

I'm considering a roll bar for my S and wanted to discuss the bar he has in his car and get some of his thoughts on the subject. Would you by any chance know how I might get in touch with him. Thanks much.

I have no idea what his screenname is here, but you may want to post in the S2000 talk "looking for Nick Gately" or something like that??? He definately has an aftermarket bar....i remember him saying he had to drill down through the plastic behind the stock rollbars to put it in....... I talked to him at beaverun last fall.......
