I would try 1/4 turn increments. I did this with my TC Klines and Koni Yellows which have a similat adjustment know for rebound.

Two of my KWV3s are the old version with round plastic knobs and no clicks for the top rebound setting, two of them are the newer version that use a hex key and have clicks. As far as I can tell the settings are the same, just one has clicks. When I document my settings I record both # of clicks and fraction of a turn.
Ok... so what fraction of a turn does a "click" equal to?
For the top, rebound adjusters 6 clicks = 1 full turn.

They're also sometimes called "hex flats" and hence a six click per sweep.

I also personally do quarter turns.
